Owen, Amilah and I had the chance to see the beautiful city of Brighton upon board the i360 Viewing Tower, of which we went 450ft high in the sky. The moving tower is located on the seafront of Brighton, in line with the old West Pier, and it can hold an astonishing 200 people at a time.
Upon entrance, we were greeted by the friendly staff who pointed us in the direction of the pod - although it wasn’t hard to miss! People were given the chance to have their picture taken, which they could then pick up when exiting the glass pod. Whilst being carried up and down, we had unobstructed panoramic views of Brighton, the South Downs, the English Channel, and much more. Some lucky viewers will even be able to see the Isle of Wight on a clear day, although unfortunately we did not get that chance. Amilah and I took amusement in trying to spot our houses from the top! We walked around the pod to get the 360 view, and also enjoyed sitting back and relaxing on the chairs dotted around in different places.
The Nyetimber Sky Bar, the South Coast's highest bar, is located in the middle of the i360 structure. People could enjoy some fine English Sparkling Wine, or choose from the selection of other alcoholic beverages. Non-alcoholic fruit juices and drinks were also available to purchase on board, with most of the drinks on offer coming from local suppliers. After making our way out of the pod, we found ourselves in the Exhibition and Gift Shop. Here we had the opportunity to pick up any pictures we had taken on the trip, and purchase any toys and other gifts available.
The British Airways i360 Viewing Tower was very much an enjoyable experience. It is a perfect gift for all ages, and is a particularly good experience for people new to the area or visiting who want to see the beautiful landscape. For more experience gifts in Brighton, click here.
