You will be picked up from your accommodation in Cape Town, with the exact time confirmed the day before your tour. Please be prepared for an early morning departure between 6:00 and 6:30 AM. Enjoy a scenic 1.5-hour drive along the N2 highway as we make our way to the charming coastal town of Hermanus.

Once we reach New Harbour, guests will receive a briefing from a Whale Specialist, who will outline the details of the boat trip. After the briefing, we’ll head out to the whale watching location at sea. The skipper and crew will ensure close encounters with the whales, offering fantastic photo opportunities. The Southern Right Whale, which can grow as large as 10 elephants, is the main attraction, but you may also spot other whale species like the Bronze Whale, Humpback Whale, and Bryde’s Whale. Dolphins and penguins may also make an appearance, although sightings cannot be guaranteed as these are wild animals.
The whale watching boat trip lasts around 2 to 3 hours and is weather and sea conditions dependent. Please note that the entry fee for the boat trip is not included and should be paid on the day of the tour. For pricing details, please refer to the exclusions section.
