Full Day Footsteps Township

This is a unique cultural / historical experience. We combine the popular Footsteps to Freedom city walking tour of the historic heart of Cape Town, with a scheduled Camissa Township Tour in the afternoon.

On the 3-hour Footsteps to Freedom city walking tour we hear stories of Dutch and British rule at the Cape, slavery and apartheid, freedom and democracy. 

Sites on the Footsteps to Freedom route include:
• Greenmarket Square
• Flower Sellers
• City Hall, Grand Parade and Castle of Good Hope
• District Six Museum (entry included)
• Slave Tree Site , Slave Lodge
• Company’s Garden, 
• Parliament and Tuynhuis,
• St George’s Cathedral

Additional Experience Details & Important Information

* Departs from 8.30 am.
* 8.30 am - 12.30 pm - Camissa Township Tour.
* 12.30 pm - 12.50 pm - Lunch Break at V&A Waterfront (not included).
* 12.50 pm - Proceed to Nelson Mandela Gateway.
* 13.00 pm - 17.00 pm - Robben Island Tour. Tickets for the ferry to Robben Island are subject to weather conditions and availability. Especially in high season (December - February) be aware that the ferry may not necessarily run at the end of the Township tour. In this case, you will be asked to make your way to the harbor.
