At Surf Life, we go beyond basic lessons. We teach with heart, patience, and purpose — helping kids and parents alike feel calm, capable, and stoked in the ocean.

Our supportive, step-by-step approach makes it easy for first-timers or if you’ve surfed a little before to meet you where you’re at and take you to the next level. Our calm, clear coaching helps you progress fast, feel safe in the ocean, and actually enjoy the learning curve. You won’t just be part of a group — you’ll be part of a community that cheers you on.

Park at Eden on the Bay, Bloubergstrand, and meet your Surf Life coach on the small grass area in the parking lot—between KFC and the Blouberg Life Saving Club. Uber drop-off is fine too. Look out for your friendly coach to meet you on the grass area!

Whether it’s your first time or you’ve already caught a few waves, our 90-minute session is designed to help you feel strong, safe, and stoked every step of the way.

Here’s what your session looks like:

- A warm welcome and intro to your coach and crew
- Gear up with a wetsuit and board that fits you
- Land-based coaching to break down your equipment and key surf safety tips
- Step-by-step guidance on technique, ocean awareness, and wave-catching
- Plenty of time in the water to practice, play, and progress
And of course — loads of encouragement, support, and good vibes!

If you’re a bit more advanced and looking to sharpen your skills, we recommend booking a private session or joining one of our intermediate groups.
