The location is something the marvel at. With the background of Table Mountain, Lions' Head and the Twelve Apostles peaks this is a jewel in Cape Town. This is also a favorite movie location because of its great climate and the clear white waters.

Chapman's Peak Drive

An architectural feat, an amazing 114 curved scenic drive that is almost 10 km long. Curved along the foot of the Chapman's Mountain there are countless photo stops where you can take group photos.
In winter look out for whales which are gliding in couples in this bay. As you approach the end of this scenic drive there is long beach an almost 9 km long beach. This is the most beautiful beach in Cape Town and is very much unspoiled as there is no public transport. Access to this is by cars only.
Take a look at the travelers enjoying as they ride horses the length of this blue flag beach. This scenic drive is a paradise for bikers, runners and hikers all year round.

Visit the main attraction on this tour and explore the walking trails which are all over. Take a 12 minute hike to the top where there is a flight of 62 steps to the lighthouse. Get to the top and take in the amazing aerial views of the entire bay.
Look out for the unspoiled Diaz beach from the top. And the several look out positions were you can be able to see the hanging cliffs and the second light house. Breath in the freshest air in the World as has been declared after the setting up of the Global Watch Research Station.

The most South-Western tip of the continent and an iconic landmark which draws thousands of travelers annually. Take a walk on this rocky coast with an abundant marine life. Look out for the seals sunbathing on the rocks and the sea birds. There are hanging cliffs where travelers enjoy climbing and take great photos with the background of the choppy ocean.
Take a walk on the several trails around come up close to some of the wild animals in the wild. Theses include the antelopes, wild beasts, bonteboks and the ever popular chacma baboons. There is also an adorable rock rabbit called a dasy which is always on the travelers lips every time they visit this place.
This location is also blessed with over 250 birds species of which 70 of them breed here with two fynbos enedemics. The Cape Sugarbird and Orange-breasted Sunbirds are mostly visible in spring (August - September).
There is also a wide range of plant species with the fynbos being the dominant of these varied species.

Visit this small settlement but one of the oldest in South Africa. It is an attractive location nestled between the Red Hill mountain and the Atlantic Ocean.
A walk along the main road takes you past a magnificent colonial Dutch architecture which has prompted the authorities to declare this place a national heritage. Simon's Town is also home to the South African Navy, so it is no surprise to see the warships in the harbor that includes the frigates.
This is one of the most beautiful places to live in Cape Town because of the outstanding landscape. Look out for the statue of Just Nuisance a dane - the only dog ever to be listed in the Royal Navy. He died in 1944 aged seven and was buried with full military honors .
Along the main road there are several art and craft shops where you can spoil yourself with African curios. There are also boutique shops and several old vynil record shops.

Boulders Beach Penguin Colony

Visit this colony of the African penguins, take a walk on the wooden boardwalk and get up close. Learn about the life cycle, their history how they ended up being there starting as a couple in 1982.
Now with figures of between 2 000 and 3 000 this is a major attraction on this tour. If you bring your swim wear you can paddle with these adorable birds at the Boulders' beach.
Get up close to these flightless birds as they dive in water to catch fish. Look out for their houses dug in the white sand and they protect their young ones.

Old Cape Point Lighthouse

Visit one of the oldest lighthouses on the South African coast. Built in 1859 the lighthouse stands 238 meters above sea-level on the peak.
This light house is no longer used as a nautical guide since most of the time it is covered under fog. This is the site of many shipwrecks which have been documented and are available at one of the buildings. Take a short hike to this historical lighthouse where amazing views of the Falls Bay are obtainable.
Look out for The Bellows Rock where one of the ships The Lusitania crushed prompting the authorities to built another lighthouse which is now in use at this location.
