This ride is designed for those who are really looking for an adventure back in the remote wilderness, lunch included. The ride begins with a ride to the top of Ann’s Ridge before continuing through the Bridger-Teton National Forest, and eventually down into Willow Creek itself. You will ride through areas only very rarely visited by humans. This is wildlife country! If you have the time and are looking for a once-in-a-lifetime, bucket-list kind of ride, this one is for you! This trail ride takes place 100% in the Bridger Teton National Forest and makes a full loop, allowing you to experience new scenery and views throughout the entire ride.
You’ll experience beautiful mountain trails on horseback, winding through Douglas Firs, Lodge Pole Pine trees, Blue Sagebrush and Alpine Wildflowers. Riding along (and sometimes through) the crystal clear water flowing down Willow Creek toward the famous Snake River is sure to become a highlight from your visit to Jackson Hole.
Wildlife encounters are frequent and you ride through the natural habitat of the Rocky Mountain Elk, Mule Deer, Shiras Moose, Red Tailed Hawks and even our American Bald Eagle!
Lunch includes: A big deli sandwich, bag of chips, an apple (for you or your horse), cookies, plenty of water.
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your ride start time.

- No backpacks (we will provide saddle bags for carrying personal items).
Horses are to be ridden at a walk at all times and riders must maintain proper spacing between horses.
All ticket sales are final and not refundable. Reservations cannot be changed, rescheduled or refunded once confirmed. Reservations may be re-scheduled by the operator of the activity due to reasons such as weather, minimum participation requirements, mechanical issues or other interruptions beyond their control.

Willow Creek Horseback Rides
Our Mountain Trail Rides start at the Willow Creek Trailhead located 16 miles south of Jackson, Wyoming. Under our BTNF permit, all rides take place 100% in the Bridger Teton National Forest. Each trailride makes a full loop, allowing you to experience new scenery and views throughout the entire ride.
We have excellent horses, most of which have been with us for years. Our guides will select a horse that best fits each rider based on size and riding experience, adjusting each saddle to ensure the most comfortable horseback riding experience.
Willow Creek Horseback Rides offers Jackson’s greatest variety in trail riding with 1 hour, 2 hour, 2 1/2 hour breakfast and lunch rides, 1/2 day, and full day guided fishing rides. Splash through crystal clear streams and view the spectacular mountain scenery, wildlife, and wildflowers on horseback, just as the Mountain Men and Native Americans did 200 years ago!
