You’ll first ride past the pristine Ann’s Pond, where you can keep an eye out for the famous moose; you’ll then trek through the forest, where you’ll follow a winding path through dense aspens and pines. You’ll ride through truly dazzling scenery, from wildflower-adorned meadows to gleaming ponds, but the highlight might be the magnificent Beaver and Cream Puff Mountains, which you can admire once you reach the picture point. An unforgettable morning outdoors.

This ride is nothing less than a breathing horseback riding experience. We start with a ride past Ann’s Pond, pausing to see if there are moose nearby before continuing on through a forest of aspens and pines. You’ll ride through a meadow of beautiful native wildflowers before reaching our picture point with spectacular views of the Beaver & Cream Puff mountains in the distance. This trail ride takes place 100% in the Bridger Teton National Forest and makes a full loop, allowing you to experience new scenery and views throughout the entire ride.
You’ll experience beautiful mountain trails on horseback, winding through Douglas Firs, Lodge Pole Pine trees, Blue Sagebrush and Alpine Wildflowers. Riding along (and sometimes through) the crystal clear water flowing down Willow Creek toward the famous Snake River is sure to become a highlight from your visit to Jackson Hole.
Wildlife encounters are frequent and you ride through the natural habitat of the Rocky Mountain Elk, Mule Deer, Shiras Moose, Red Tailed Hawks and even our American Bald Eagle!
Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your ride start time.

- No backpacks (we will provide saddle bags for carrying personal items).
Horses are to be ridden at a walk at all times and riders must maintain proper spacing between horses.
All ticket sales are final and not refundable. Reservations cannot be changed, rescheduled or refunded once confirmed. Reservations may be re-scheduled by the operator of the activity due to reasons such as weather, minimum participation requirements, mechanical issues or other interruptions beyond their control.

Willow Creek Horseback Rides
Our Mountain Trail Rides start at the Willow Creek Trailhead located 16 miles south of Jackson, Wyoming. Under our BTNF permit, all rides take place 100% in the Bridger Teton National Forest. Each trailride makes a full loop, allowing you to experience new scenery and views throughout the entire ride.
We have excellent horses, most of which have been with us for years. Our guides will select a horse that best fits each rider based on size and riding experience, adjusting each saddle to ensure the most comfortable horseback riding experience.
Willow Creek Horseback Rides offers Jackson’s greatest variety in trail riding with 1 hour, 2 hour, 2 1/2 hour breakfast and lunch rides, 1/2 day, and full day guided fishing rides. Splash through crystal clear streams and view the spectacular mountain scenery, wildlife, and wildflowers on horseback, just as the Mountain Men and Native Americans did 200 years ago!
