Experience Overview:
Private Helicopter Flight For Two To The Poison SpiderQuick and loaded with amazing features like Determination Towers, Monitor and Merrimac, Gemini Bridges, Corona Arch, and Jeep Arch.
Safety is paramount to all our tours. Our helicopters are meticulously maintained. Since we do venture into remote places we carry a full array of communications equipment including a satellite phone, portable tracking device, as well as onboard Emergency Locator Transmitters. Each aircraft is also equipped with survival and medical equipment.
Moab Heli X operates the Robinson R44 II and R66 Turbine Helicopters.
The R44?s aerodynamic fuselage optimizes airspeed and fuel economy. Hydraulic controls eliminate feedback forces and provide responsive handling. A low tail-rotor tip speed, newly designed muffler, and large cambered tail reduce flyover noise. These four-seat helicopters are high-performing, reliable, and easy to maintain. With a great view from any seat, and the latest in Robinson technology, our aircraft are a great way to view the vast and remote areas that Moab has to offer.
Raven II helicopters are powered by a Lycoming IO-540 fuel-injected engine. The IO-540 delivers better altitude performance and increased payload.
R66 TURBINE five-seat helicopters are reliable, economical, and easy to maintain. The R66?s spacious 300lb. capacity baggage compartment along with the powerful Rolls Royce RR300 turbine engine provides greater utility. The lightweight RR300 engine operates on readily available Jet A fuel, delivering increased reserve power, additional payload, and improved altitude performance. The R66 meets the FAA?s current crashworthiness regulations with energy-absorbing seats and a crash-worthy fuel system.

Weather Policy
- Not often, but occasionally, we are forced to cancel flights due to weather restraints. You may receive an email to reschedule. To be safe, if the weather looks questionable, please call ahead to verify your flight.
What to Bring
- Dress for the weather. Please where clothing that is suitable to be outside the helicopter before and after the flight. The helicopter is climate controlled.
Flights depart from our comfortable (and private) hanger located at Canyonlands Field, which is 18 miles north of the center of Moab and 14 miles south of I 70 on Hwy 191. We are the first hangar on the right as you enter the airport. One benefit of our private helicopter hanger is that our helicopters are parked in the shade until we roll them out for your helicopter tour Moab, which helps keep them cool even before we crank up the air conditioning.
When you arrive for your Moab Helicopter Tour, you will find plenty of parking. Pulling a trailer or driving an RV? No problem. Our parking lot can easily accommodate just about any sized vehicle.
Our Helicopter sightseeing tours are in air-conditioned helicopters. We always suggest to wear clothing suitable for the season and that would allow you to spend time outside of the helicopter.
