This beautiful location is only minutes from the heart of San Antonio, and originally served as farmland. Located next to the meandering river, you will be captivated by the grandeur of these residences as you stroll along flat, leafy streets in mottled sunlight. Hear the stories behind these historic homes where many of the city's most prominent citizens lived. There's the home of the man who named the area King William, a beautiful residence where the concept of the first ice cream soda was discussed, the refuge of the eccentric socialite who was later buried in her Ferrari, and the house where the inventor of the corn chip resided. Also, there's the magnificent home that had the first electric lights in San Antonio, the house that was the home of a famous tenor, and another where a successful author lived. Hear all these stories and many more. Every step forward is a step back in time.

We will meet at the gate of the Guenther Restaurant and Museum at 205 E Guenther St, San Antonio TX 78204, USA, and your Guide will be wearing a hat and holding a red folder. The Guenther complex is open Wed -Sun, from 8am to 2pm. Then the gate will be locked ! It is not open on Monday and Tuesday.
