This is an in-depth, private guided group tour of the NASA Space Center, the most popular tourist destination in Houston. Your guide is a real rocket scientist and an experienced space expert who will explain everything you see and answer all of your questions in a way you will easily understand. The tour provides a unique opportunity to learn about the history, current programs and future plans for space exploration from someone who actually worked on these remarkable systems. Meet OUTSIDE the Space Center Houston main entrance after parking your vehicle(s). Look for your guide wearing a red NASA baseball cap. Please do NOT attempt to go inside the Visitors Center without your guide. Your guide will have your admission tickets.

Meet OUTSIDE the main entrance and receive a General Admission ticket for each person. Look for your guide wearing a red NASA baseball cap. View an excellent introduction to NASA's vision for human space flight. Visit the Starship Gallery, touch a real moon rock and walk through an actual space station. These are the real spacecraft that carried NASA astronauts into space. Go inside the Space Shuttle at Independence Plaza. Your guide worked on this engineering marvel for 17 years.
Take a short break for snacks, lunch and drinks at the space "Food Lab".

Take a tram ride through the NASA Johnson Space Center. Visit the Rocket Park, including a guided walking tour of an actual Saturn V rocket that launched the Apollo astronauts to the moon. It's really big and very impressive. Your guide was right there as these massive rocket engines were tested.

The tram will return you to the main visitors' center. Your guide will show you around the rocket engines and spacecraft that he worked on. After the guided tour, you will have some personal time for souvenir shopping and wandering around the spacesuits and spacecraft displays on your own.

Please note that group tours of Mission Control are separately managed by the Space Center Houston, with limited availability. Your tour guide is NOT authorized to lead you though a tour of the Historic Mission Control facility. Depending on availability, you may be able to visit Mission Control as part of a separate tour after your guided tour of the Space Center has finished. If an additional group tour of Mission Control is something you would like to do, please contact your guide to make these special arrangements in advance. The sooner the better :-)
