The Pirate Rum Challenge is a unique and one-of-a-kind experience, only offered at Independence Seaport Museum. Participants get to relive their glory days of summer camps past, all while competing with pirates as you make your way through various stations.

Do you miss those summer days spent at camp when you were a child, conquering the obstacle course or anything else the counselors threw your way? Crushing the tug-of-war, balance beams/bars, and the bean bag toss?
Well, step right up as Independence Seaport Museum introduces the Pirate Rum Challenge, a pop-up rum garden experience complete with pirate-y activities that will bring you back to the days of The Legend of the Hidden Temple.
Think you can handle walking the plank against Calico Jack, ISM’s pirate-in-residence, without falling off into the murky depths below? Or how about a bean bag toss competition, where you have to hit the “enemy” ships before running out of ammunition? There’s only one place you can test your skills to see if you would be fit to become part of a pirate crew, and that’s right here at ISM!
End the night sipping your complimentary cocktail and pondering the puzzling debate of who you will challenge to join you next week.
