What do i wear?
The temperature can be cooler out on the water so dress accordingly - best to be prepared! Hats and sunscreen are recommended on summer days.
Should i tip the crew?
Yes! It is customary to tip the crew & bartender if you enjoyed your experience.
Will it rain?
Occasionally. While sailing is an all-weather activity, MBS may need to cancel due to severe or unsafe conditions. In this case, MBS will do it’s best to notify you as soon as possible to save you from the inconvenience. In the event that Manhattan by Sail cancels, customers will be offered alternate dates, subject to availability, or receive a sailing credit for the current or following season.
What if my plans have changed?
Reservations are NON-REFUNDABLE. Up to 48 hours prior to departure time, customers may call or email (212-619-6900/reservations@manhattanbysail.com) to reschedule, based on availability, at no additional charge. (72 hours for groups of 10 people or more). Within 48 hours, a $20 per passenger surcharge will be applied due to upfront production costs associated with events. No shows and last-minute cancellations within 2 hours of departure will result in forfeiture of ticket and all paid value associated with reservation.

Reservation Changes, Cancellations & Refunds
All ticket sales are final and not refundable. Reservations cannot be changed, rescheduled or refunded once confirmed. Reservations may be re-scheduled by the operator of the activity due to reasons such as weather, minimum participation requirements, mechanical issues or other interruptions beyond their control.
All gift certificate sales are final and not refundable. Gift certificates can only be exchanged prior to redemption.
