Mini tour and cave of the winds
We had a tour guide for Cave of the Winds. We spent a bit of time with a tour guide and he talked about the people who have tried to "ride the falls" and who survived and who didn't and showed us some spots at the Horseshoe Falls, Bridal Falls, and American Falls. He also talked about how they used the power of the falls to create energy. The Falls are truly stunning! Then we donned ponchos and recyclable sandals, took our tour down an elevator and then walked on decking that they rebuild every year, very close to the drop of the falls. You cannot believe the force of the water unless you experience it. Just do it! You won't regret it.

Cave of the Winds
You need first to buy your tickets and are told when to come back to line up. Some friends were told to come back one hour later. For us, on Monday 7/24/18 it was only half an hour. When your time is up, you start waiting in line. Half way through the liitne you watch a short movie in a room. The entire wait was about one hour. This is worth. You receive sandals and a yellow poncho. You get down the elevator, and walk through a tunnel to get to the wooden stairs. The view is amazing. You are free to get very close on the hurricane deck or stay away on the other decks. You can stay there as long as you want. Only waterproof cameras!
