What happens? Where do we go?
- This is a SAIL, so our route is subject to wind and weather. We sail as far and as fast as we can given the conditions, and our goal is always to shut off the engine and give our guests an authentic 1812 experience. Every trip is different. Sometimes we sail to Beverly; other times to Marblehead; other times straight out toward the islands!
- Guests have the opportunity to raise sails, take the tiller, learn knots, and engage with our knowledgable crew about the schooner, her interesting history, and the many islands, lighthouses, forts, and other sights of Salem Sound. If you're interested in history, ask questions! If you'd just as soon relax and enjoy the ride, you can do that, too :)

What to Bring
Sensible shoes, sunscreen, hats and sunglasses. It's cooler on the water, especially at sunset, so you will want a jacket or sweatshirt.
We have a liquor license, which means you cannot bring your own alcohol aboard. Beer, wine, soft drinks and snacks are all available for purchase on the schooner at reasonable prices. By all means bring your own food and snacks, but no coolers are allowed.
What if it rains?
A brief shower does not prevent us from sailing, but in the event of steady rain, strong winds, or thick fog, we may have to cancel your trip. In that case, we will reach out to you via the email address and phone number you provided, so be sure they are accurate. If your sail is cancelled, you will have the opportunity to rebook or receive a refund.
Who to Bring
The schooner is not ADA complaint or wheelchair accessible. Passengers must be able to walk up and down the marina ramp, and ascend five steps to get onto the schooner. The crew is always standing by to help, but those with mobility or balance issues should pass.
Infants and toddlers are not allowed. The boat is not that big, and an unhappy child can ruin everyone's sail. Once children have arrived at four years of age, they really enjoy the trip!
We love dogs — but they are not allowed on board. The one exception is for licensed service dogs. Please bring a copy of your license when you sail.
Cancellations & Refunds
Reservation Changes, Cancellations & Refunds
Changes to reservations for tickets can be made until 3 days prior to the date scheduled. Reservations may be re-scheduled by the operator of the activity due to reasons such as weather, minimum participation requirements, mechanical issues or other interruptions beyond their control.
All gift certificate sales are final and not refundable. Gift certificates can only be exchanged prior to redemption.
