The lighthouse was first authorized built by the first president of the United States; George Washington in 1787, which faces to the Atlantic Ocean, visitors can shoot from all angles of the lighthouse. And the lighthouse still is in use in the present.

Lobsterman Park
0.2 acre public cobble stoned square at the intersection of Middle and Temple Streets. This park is home to a memorial sculpture titled, “Maine Lobsterman," that was created in 1939 by Victor Kahill of Portland for the New York World’s Fair. The sculpture epitomizes the spirit of Mainers independence and historic ties to the sea. The park features benches and shade trees.
