Dog Rose Brewing Co. opened its doors in Oct. of 2017 in the historic neighborhood of Lincolnville, mere blocks from the center of the historic district of St. Augustine. Our handcrafted ales and lagers are brewed with style and tradition in mind. Whether it be a German styled Hefeweizen or Maibock to a fruited sour or West Coast IPA, only the best ingredients are used to capture the flavor profile we’re looking for. The tap room is at once, spacious and open, yet cozy and inviting while leaving the brewery itself easily accessible. ​We began brewing 10 gallons at a time in the garage many years ago like many other great breweries. The first beer we ever brewed was the Empirical IPA. While that recipe has evolved over time, the essence of it never changed. Now brewing 200 gallons at a time, we continue the long tradition of "bootstrapping" and hard work to bring a wide selection of our favorite styles to life.
From malty stouts, porters and brown ales to a double red, a classic ESB, and our refreshing local favorite, Burt's Summer American wheat ale, there is something for every palate. And don't let us forget about special barrel-aged ales and, of course, our world class IPAs.

After many books, projections, podcasts, revised projections, conferences, many trips to speak with brewers, and "sampling" beer all over the country (R&D), we have set our sights to the sky and there ain't no turning back!!
