You’ll have your own set of controls, but your instructor will be with you the whole time. Feel the adrenaline pumping through your body as the chopper lifts into the air at your touch. Robinson R-44 Intro 20 min. When you book an intro with MaxFlight, you will be with one of our certified flight instructors. You will have your own set of controls in which you will actually fly the helicopter.
The R44’s aerodynamic fuselage optimizes airspeed and fuel economy. Hydraulic controls eliminate feedback forces and provide responsive handling. A low tail-rotor tip speed, newly designed muffler and large cambered tail reduce flyover noise.

The R44 Helicopter flying lesson begins with ground training with a Certified Flight Instructor. Once this is complete, the participant will then have the ability to fly in the R-44 to practice what they have learned for 20 minutes. There will then be a debrief, once the flight is over. The whole experience will last approximately 1 hour.
One person CANNOT exceed 300lbs (136kg/21.4st) and the total weight for 3 people is 600lbs (272kg/42.8st). All passengers must be willing to be weighed for safety.
Infants (up to 2 years old) must sit on a lap and will fly for free.
Changes to reservations for tickets can be made until 2 days prior to the date scheduled. Reservations may be re-scheduled by the operator of the activity due to reasons such as weather, minimum participation requirements, mechanical issues or other interruptions beyond their control.
