Ten Thousand Islands Florida Shelling TourWhile shelling, learn about the nuances of tides and currents and how it affects sea life. Your captain/guide can make your tour a family learning experience.
The 10,000 Islands Wildlife Refuge, adjacent to Everglades National Park, is inaccessible except by boat. Our tour, led by an experienced sheller and certified master naturalist, is limited to 6 persons and will whisk you to a remote barrier island within the Refuge. While barrier islands such as Sanibel or Captiva offer great shelling, these islands rarely have a footprint on the beaches.
Not only can you experience great shelling in a remote location, you will have the opportunity to see dolphins, possibly sea turtles or manatees, and a multitude of birds such as ospreys, eagles, roseate spoonbills, pelicans and the like while cruising to your island.

Please plan to arrive 20-25 minutes before so that you can park and use the bathroom facilities. We will board the boat 5 minutes before your departure time so that we may leave on time.
Fortunately, we are in an area where weather rarely forces us to cancel a tour. We have many choices and options in this wonderful area. However, your captain/guide has the ultimate responsibility for your safety and so will make all "GO and NO-GO" decisions. There are times when we may delay a departure due to passing weather. We want you to enjoy our tours and have a great time. We do realize that situations occur that can alter travel schedules and plans. We limit the number of guests on each tour to assure an intimate experience. Your reservation assures that you will have a position on the tour and that we will not book other guests.
Cancellations & Refunds
Reservation Changes, Cancellations & Refunds
Changes to reservations for tickets can be made until 15 days prior to the date scheduled. Reservations may be re-scheduled by the operator of the activity due to reasons such as weather, minimum participation requirements, mechanical issues or other interruptions beyond their control.
All gift certificate sales are final and not refundable. Gift certificates can only be exchanged prior to redemption.
