The Grinch is a costumed character that may alarm small children. Rides are conducted on an open-air electric shuttle. Wheelchairs, walkers and strollers are not permitted on the shuttles.
Unfortunately, no outside alcohol is permitted on the Grinchmas Nights of Lights tour.
The stated capacity is fixed. Unfortunately larger groups can't be accommodated as there's only one vehicle available for the ride, and only one Grinch!
The dates for this experience are usually released around the first 2 weeks of July every year.
Yes this does take place in the evening. if you check midweek rather than weekend dates in December you will find evening slots.

PARKING & ARRIVAL: There is NO onsite parking provided.

Parking is at a premium and traffic will be extremely heavy. Be prepared!

Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time. Rides depart with or without you. Plan ahead so that you don't miss it! :)
GRATUITY: Character driver gratuity is NOT included in your ticket. As a general guideline, a standard tip is around 10-15% of the total tour price. However, if you've received exceptionally good service, it's thoughtful to say 'thank you' with a tip closer to 15-20%.
PET RESTRICTIONS: Sorry, NO pets (of any kind) are allowed.
REQUIREMENTS: The ability to climb into and out of the EV is required. Walkers or wheelchairs can be accommodated on board the EV.
WEATHER: Rides are held rain or shine. Check the forecast and come prepared – we do not provide umbrellas. Rides may be rescheduled based on SEVERE conditions, such as a thunderstorms and hurricanes! Guests will be notified in advance if we decide to cancel or reschedule a particular tour.
You are welcome to bring your own cozy blanket, if on a character ride during the winter months.
PHOTOS & SEATING: Vehicles utilized for the rides, may vary with the EV used on a particular night. Seating may be REAR facing.

Reservation Changes, Cancellations & Refunds
Changes to reservations for tickets can be made until 3 days prior to the date scheduled. Reservations may be re-scheduled by the operator of the activity due to reasons such as weather, minimum participation requirements, mechanical issues or other interruptions beyond their control.
All gift certificate sales are final and not refundable. Gift certificates can only be exchanged prior to redemption.

The City of St. Augustine requires that anyone who, for compensation, offers to show and describe the points of interest and historical places in the city must obtain a Tour Guide License. The Holiday Grinchmas ride through the Night of Lights was amazing! The Grinch was hilarious and had us laughing the whole ride. He was great with my kids. This is officially on our annual Christmas to-do list! Worth every penny!
