You will still see the shrines in Arlington while driving through; and will step off at the famous bronze sculpture that depicts six marines lifting the flagpole on top of Mount Suribachi In the battle of Iwo Jima 2/19/1945. While the scene depicts one of the most famous clashes of World War II, the memorial is dedicated to all Marines who have given their lives in defense of the United States since 1775. (15 min.)
