Feel the sea breeze on your skin, breathe in the fresh air and enjoy the onboard snacks and drinks as you cruise along. Your captain will return you to the marina at the end of the trip, totaling 2 hours on the water.

Experience Overview:
Rappahannock River Afternoon Sail From Weems VaA two-hour sailing excursion on the Rappahannock River that departs at 12:30pm and 3pm daily. This trip is great for anyone wanting to get out on the water and experience sailing on the River, and can be tailored to your comfort level and experience. Pull lines and crank on winches if you want, or simply relax on the bow taking in the scenery or reading a book.
We meet at Carter’s Cove Marina in Weems, VA on the day of departure. All of our adventures begin with an introduction to the vessel, our beloved 36’ Columbia Galene, and a safety briefing. We depart from the marina and motor out of the harbor and into the Rappahannock River, where the sailing begins in earnest.

What to bring
You may bring a small cooler with your food and beverage of choice, although no glass is permitted onboard.
Dress in layers as conditions on the water can be warmer/colder that you might expect from the land climate. Please bring appropriate footwear for the boat, quick drying clothes (synthetic layers are great), swimsuit & towel (if you plan to swim), sunscreen, and a rain coat (just in case!). There is plenty of room and privacy in the cabin to store your belonging and change clothes. You may wish to bring a camera or smart phone, although we do not assume any liability for their protection from the elements.

All ticket sales are final and not refundable. Reservations cannot be changed, rescheduled or refunded once confirmed. Reservations may be re-scheduled by the operator of the activity due to reasons such as weather, minimum participation requirements, mechanical issues or other interruptions beyond their control.
