Why We Love This Unique Experience
Yosemite National Park Experience Gifts: Enjoy three whole days exploring this famous national park with experienced guides and all the necessary gear provided as you camp.
On day one get picked up in San Francisco and journey out into the wilderness rising 4,500 feet above sea level as you travel. On arrival your guide will assist in getting you set up for two nights of camping and you'll meet your campmates. Get to know one another around the fire and then prepare for a day of exploring. On day two get ready for an early wake up call as your guide rounds everyone up to eat breakfast, prep lunch and head up into Yosemite High Country. You'll explore all the park has to offer for an entire day including sights such as lakes, mountain summits, and meadows. After another restful evening and time with your new-found friends the third day is all yours to explore as you wish. Your guide can help you figure where you'd like to explore and on your return you'll enjoy a group visit to El Capitan Meadow where you can view the largest granite monolith in North America.
This three day camping trip is a fantastic experience gift for your adventurous loved ones and a great opportunity for visitors to San Francisco to experience more than the city.

Experience Overview:
Guided Three Day Camping Tour Of Yosemite National ParkEscape to Nature on Our Guided Camping Trip in Yosemite
Need more than a Yosemite Day Tour from San Francisco to visit the classic sights and sounds of Yosemite’s wilderness, but you don’t want to stay in a hotel and prefer the adventure of camping? No worries! You’ve come to the right place! This tour is identical in every aspect to our Yosemite Escape Lodging Tour (3 Days), but instead of hotelling, you’ll be staying in the comfort of a tent! This tour will share the same itinerary, vehicle, and meals as the lodging tour. The only difference is where you’ll be sleeping at night. Instead of a hotel, you’ll be sleeping in the comfort of a local campground next door to the lodge, which is just steps away. Some guests on the tour will camp and some guests will stay in the hotel, but everyone will still enjoy meals, the camp, and the itinerary together!
On this comprehensive three-day excursion, you’ll hike on fern-laden trails, look out from a cliff’s edge as you breathe in the fresh, earthy Yosemite air, and enjoy more than a glimpse of the dramatic, glacier-formed mountains. As you take in the landscape, our experienced guides will shepherd you through the unique park history, stop to explore the breathtaking vistas, and expertly point out the diverse wildlife. You may even see the tiny figures of climbers on their trek up the cliffside of Half Dome!
FAQ
Activity FAQs
Q. How far is it from san francisco to yosemite?
A. The route we drive is generally about 192 miles (309 km) one-way, and takes 3-4 hours depending on traffic. We try to break up the long drive with stops at a local fruit stand to get some fresh produce, a stop for food/meals, and of course, bathroom breaks when needed.
Q. I’m from (insert country with a lower drinking age), and I’m under 21. can I taste wine on your tour?
A. Sorry to say, the laws are applicable where you’re consuming the drinks, and not where you’re from. The liquor laws in California state that you must be 21 or over with a valid form of government ID to be served.
Q. What’s your “fuel surcharge” all about and why do you charge it?
A. Though we use a petroleum-free biofuel fuel (which isn’t yet common in the industry and isn’t directly influenced by gas prices), we’re at the effect of market prices for our fuel, and sometimes even subject to limited supply. The surcharge is designed to adjust for fluctuating fuel/operation prices during the tour season.
We believe that protecting the environment from harmful emissions (and not being reliant on oil) is worth the additional cost of using an alternative fuel, and worth the extra work we do to maintain biofuel as a viable alternative in our industry. Our hope is that we can always be clear with our passengers about these sorts of additions so there are no surprises, and make sure our clients know exactly what they’re getting, and what they’re paying for it.
Q. Can i bring my luggage on the tour with me?
A. Because of our small-size vehicles, we have limited luggage space. Each passenger may bring one soft-sided overnight bag or regular-sized day pack with them on the vehicle. The under-seat storage space will accept ~13.5″x12″x11″ if the item is hard-sided; slightly larger if it is soft-sided. If you must bring more/larger luggage, please be aware that you’ll need to pay for a seat on the vehicle to store it during your trip. No luggage or gear may be placed in the aisle.
