Hike to the Hollywood Sign from the Innsdale entrance - passing the best frontal view of The Hollywood Sign on the way to the top. This is the shortest route to the Hollywood Sign.
This tour starts at the Innsdale Trailhead and meanders up past the best Hollywood Sign viewpoint and further up to the summit of Mt. Lee and the 365-degree view the entire Los Angeles region from the mountains to the sea.

The most popular hike to the sign because it is the shortest, easiest, and fastest way to get close to this LA icon. For this reason, it’s also the busiest and least wild of all our Griffith Park tours. Because the trail moves between quiet neighborhood streets and the the wilder urban parts of Griffith Park and Lake Hollywood Park, this tour is a great opportunity to contrast how non-native plants and native plants fare in these highly populated areas and what if any effect restoration is having.

After passing by the best viewpoint of the sign for all your instagram photos, we carry on to the top of the sign where you'll see stunning views of the Verdugo, San Gabriel, and Santa Monica ranges, the LA Basin, the San Fernando Valley, the Pacific Ocean and more all from the summit of Mt. Lee. You can also look forward to learning to identify some common plants and animals, ecological communities, the geologic history of California and so much more! Delight your senses as you see, smell and touch your way to the top!
