See and learn all about the most extensive hydrothermal system west of Yellowstone, as we traverse the Volcanic Peak Highway. Visit the inside of an ancient volcano and see it's steaming vents and boiling waters which are still active today. Get up close and personal with Mt. Lassen, one of the largest plug dome volcanoes in the world! Explore the epicenter of the last volcano eruption in 1917. Stop for some pictures along beautiful meadows and lakes. Keep those binoculars handy as some areas offer optimal wildlife viewing opportunities such as Golden Eagles, Black Bears, Black Tail Deer, Clark's Nutcrackers and much more! This 3.5-4 hour tour is for all ages and does not include any strenuous hiking.
