Denali Winter Wonderland Sightseeing Trail WalkDuring the winter Denali National Park truly turns into a winter wonderland with breathtaking views, scenic photo opportunities and incredible vast wilderness.
We will take you 13 miles past the park entrance to Mountain Vista pullout area where, on clear days, you can get amazing shots of Mt. Denali, the tallest mountain in North America! Occasionally, Denali can be not visible due to cloud cover however the winter months are the clearest with the best chance for amazing views. Nonetheless, getting to drive in and experience the lowland vegetation, wildlife and learn park history is an incredible experience.
Once in, we will put on the ice cleats and take you on a couple short hikes to the Savage River, Savage Cabin and Mountain Vista Trail. This is one of our favorite national parks and seeing it in the winter is an unmatched experience.
