Loch Ness And Inverness Half Day Private TourThis is a half day tour taking you out to Urquhart Castle on Loch Ness side as well as to Culloden Battlefield where the last battle on British soil took place on the 16th April 1746 , Clava Cairns , Beauly Priory and around Inverness and we will stop to see some Highland Coos and also stop at the Culloden Viaduct which was built in 1898.

Beauly Priory is a 13th century Monastery built for an order of Valliscaulian Monks from Dijon in France. This was the ancient burial place for the chiefs of Clans Fraser and Mackenzie. The priory was destroyed by Oliver Cromwells forces in the 1600s.

The Battle of Culloden took place on the 16th April 1746 and was the last battle fought on British soil. We walk to the main areas of the Battlefield and see the clan headstones and the memorial cairn as well as Old Leanach Cottage.
