We will journey along the banks of Loch Ness, Scotland’s second largest loch, where you will be able to hear the legends of Nessie, the Loch Ness monster and see if you can spot her for yourself!
We will stop for a view of the Urquhart Castle which sits on the shores of the loch, steeped in history. You'll be able to snap some iconic photographs before we continue the adventure.

Invermoriston
We continue down the shores of Loch Ness and onto Invermoriston, where the river Morriston connects to the loch. You will be able to see the original Invermoriston bridge, and Summer House which have spectacular views over the falls and were the inspiration for “Neverland” in JM Barry’s novel Peter Pan!

We will drive further southwest through the Great Glen, a fault line which runs across the width of Scotland, splitting the country in two, where you will be able to enjoy views of the other lochs and mountains that make up the valley.
Pass by without stopping
Arriving at the base of the Glen, you will be able to have a refreshing break and have lunch before we continue on our adventure.

Glenfinnan Viaduct

Arrive at Glenfinnan, the highlight of the journey, featuring the Glenfinnan Viaduct by Thomas Telford and the Jacobite Monument. Explore trails for stunning views, spot the Jacobite Steam Train* (operating May 5th–September 26th, 2025), and relive the magic of the Hogwarts Express. Visit the shores of Loch Shiel and the historic Glenfinnan Monument, marking Bonnie Prince Charlie’s 1745 Jacobite Uprising.
*Please note that the train will be operating from 5th May- 26th September 2025. On days that the train is not in operation, you will still have the opportunity to visit the viaduct.

On the return journey along the south road of Loch Ness, you'll enjoy captivating views of the area's unspoiled beauty. Traveling along General Wade's historic military road, originally built to connect the Highlands, the route offers rugged charm, scenic viewpoints, and a memorable conclusion to an adventure-filled day before arriving back in Inverness.
