For many years the council removed the cone, only to find another one in place the following day. Home to contemporary pieces from artists such as David Hockney and Andy Warhol, the gallery also many temporary exhibits.

As the name suggests this area used to be the cities trading hub, tobacco, sugar and tea were popular commodities in the 18th century. Scattered amongst the warehouses for goods were some fantastic grand houses, owned by the Merchant Lords. Finally in 2014, as part of the legacy of the Commonwealth Games, the future of the space was safeguarded for public recreation.
