Edinburgh Highlands and Whisky Tasting Tour

This is a full day tour taking you from Edinburgh or St Andrews to the Highlands and Urquhart Castle on Loch Ness side , on our way back we will visit Speyside and stop at a Distillery where you will enjoy a whisky tasting of 3 drams. The Distilleries we stop at will depend on the availability , options could include The Macallan ,Glenfiddich ,Glenallachie or Cardhu. You will know before the tour starts which Distillery we will visit , you can also choose which Distillery you would like to visit.

What to expect:

Queensferry Crossing

After departing from Edinburgh we head north towards the Highlands and we cross over the River Forth by way of the Queensferry crossing

We pass by the city of Perth and continue north towards Loch Ness and we pass through The Cairngorms National Park stopping briefly for a rest room break.

Dochgarroch

Dochgarroch

Heading out of Inverness we stop at the little place of Dochgarroch where you will get an opportunity to see some Highland Cows.

Urquhart Castle

Travelling further down the Great Glen we stop at Urquhart Castle on Loch Ness side where you can go down to the ruined Castle and enjoy the view of Loch Ness.

Inverness is the capital of the Highlands and we stop here to give you the opportunity to grab some lunch.

The Macallan Distillery

We stop at The Macallan Distillery in Speyside for a whisky tasting ( subject to availability ) on our way back south to Edinburgh. Macallan Distillery is only open to visitors from Thursdays to Sundays.

Glenfiddich Distillery is the largest producer of single malt whisky in Scotland and we stop here for a tasting if The Macallan Distillery is not available.

Heading back south to Edinburgh we pass by Dalwhinnie Distillery , this is the highest Distillery in Scotland.
