This is the ideal first Introduction to Edinburgh with a local guide & resident. Many of our guests say they wish they'd done this tour first!

David will tell you about the fascinating history of the places we visit, with lots of vintage photographs along the way.

David is 3x Commended in Scottish Landscape Photographer of the Year, and will help you capture beautiful photos of Edinburgh, that you might not have the time to find, or discover, by yourself.

This 2 Hour walking tour covers about 1.8 miles. Guests should be in good health & fitness.

The Tron Kirk in Edinburgh's Royal Mile dates back to the 17th century and is one of Edinburgh's most iconic buildings. We'll admire & photograph the kirk's beautiful Gothic, Palladian interior and exterior, with some great composition tips along the way.

Edinburgh City Chambers

Edinburgh City Chambers was designed by celebrated architect John Adam in 1760 and is now home to City of Edinburgh Council. We'll photography its beautiful exterior and admire the Edinburgh Award and equestrian statue of Alexander & Bucephalus by John Steel.

Parliament Square houses the Supreme Courts of Scotland and the adjoining Parliament House and dates backs to 1632. We'll photograph one of the finest equestrian statues in Scotland and meet James Braidwood (Statue), who is credited with founding the world's first fire service.

Tucked away in the heart of Edinburgh's Old Town is the historic Grassmarket, which dates all the way back to the 14th century. Full of historic pubs and modern lively shops & cafes, David will show you some of the best spots for photographs and tell you about some of the area's best known characters, including 'Half-hangit Maggie' who has a pub named after her.
