The first location on this Outlander tour is Linlithgow Palace, the setting for Wentworth Prison in Outlander.
Blackness Castle goes back to 1440 . The castle provides the setting for Fort William, as the original fort no longer exists.

Midhope castle is Lallybroch , ancestral home of Jamie Fraser and a key location in the Outlander story . Midhope was built in 1458 by John Martyne, laird of Medhope. It was rebuilt in the mid 1600s and remains much the same today.
Plans have been announced for the Refurbishment of Lallybroch .In season 1's "Castle Leoch," Black Jack Randall led a group of Redcoats to Lallybroch to steal horses, food, and valuables and anything else they could get their hands on
