Speyside Whisky Distillery and Tasting Tour

This Whisky tour to Speyside takes you to 3 privately owned Distilleries from two of the smallest to the largest producer of Single Malt Whisky in Scotland. Included in your tour price is a tasting of at least 9 drams.
Our first stop of the day is at Glenfarclas Distillery where we take an actual Distillery tour followed by a tasting in their lovely whisky lounge.
After leaving Glenfarclas we head for lunch at The Highlander Inn at Craigellachie which has a gantry of more than 300 Malt Whiskies from all over the World. They also do a nice lunch.
After lunch we head to Dufftown and Glenfiddich Distillery which has been owned by the Grant family since it was built by the family more than 130 years ago. This is the largest producer of Single Malt whisky in Scotland and we visit their lovely whisky lounge for a tasting.
The final Distillery on our tour is Glenallachie , now owned by a chap called Billy Walker who is famous in the industry and we sample some of his whisky in the bar.

Glenfarclas Distillery is the first of 3 privately owned Distilleries that we will visit today.
Glenfarclas is a lovely little Distillery that do an excellent tour where one of their experienced staff will take you around and explain to you all the different processes that are involved in creating the Glenfarclas Single Malt , following the tour you will get a tasting of 2 of their single Malts in their lovely whisky lounge.

Craigellachie

We stop in Craigellachie for lunch at The Highlander Inn.
The Highlander is well known for having a huge range of Malt whiskies from all around the World , they do a pretty good lunch as well.

Glenfiddich Distillery

Glenfiddich Distillery is the largest producer of single malt whisky in Scotland , it is also still one of the few Distilleries in Scotland to remain in private ownership. The Distillery was built by hand by William Grant and Family more than 120 years ago.
We stop here for a tutored tasting of 4 of their delicious single malts , 2 from Glenfiddich and 2 from their sister Distillery The Balvenie which the Grant family also own.

The GlenAllachie Distillery

The GlenAllachie Distillery, GlenAllachie, Aberlour, AB38 9LR

Our final stop on our Whisky tour is at another small privately owned Distillery , Glenallachie. This Distillery is owned by a very well known man in the industry called Billy Walker who is now in the Whisky Hall of Fame , he is known as the Master of Wood and the Whiskies they produce here are outstanding , you will get the opportunity to taste 3 of their single Malts.

Aviemore and the Cairngorms
