Guests are warmly welcomed from 6:30 PM, as our traditional Scottish piper greets arrivals at the door of the Ghillie-dhu, Across from the Johnny walker experience, in Edinburghs west end — setting the tone with a Traditional “piping in” to begin the evening in true Highland style.

Your evening begins at 6:30 PM with the rousing sound of the pipes, as a traditional Scottish piper welcomes you at the door with a ceremonial “piping in.” Once seated in the stunning Victorian surroundings of Ghillie Dhu, you’ll enjoy a delicious three-course Scottish feast, featuring local favourites like haggis, neeps and tatties — with a dram of whisky to toast the night.
As dinner is served, you’ll be entertained by talented local performers who share the spirit of the Highlands through live folk music and storytelling. You’ll hear tales from Scottish history and lore, delivered with warmth, humour and heart.
Once the plates are cleared, the dancing begins! Our live ceilidh band and dance caller will guide you through traditional Highland steps — no experience needed, just enthusiasm. You’re welcome to join in, watch from the sidelines, or raise another toast as the evening unfold
