Vintage Fashion Taster Tour Of LondonWe tend to give this tour in Soho and Covent Garden, but, if desired, we can give another version of it in Brick Lane and Spitalfields, or Camden Passage and Portobello. We will explore to your heart's content, mixing in history of the area and history of particular shops with the shop visits.
There will be plenty of fashion history thrown in along the way as well, so be prepared to get excited about some 1970s London designer you never heard of before.
We believe deeply that vintage shopping is the most exciting shopping that exists and that it's the best way to develop one's personal style. We want to make you aware of the wealth that London has to offer, and we can focus on particular eras or help you seek out particular items of clothing.
Most of all, we want to encourage you to handle the past, the quality and the feel of times gone by, letting old clothes and jewellery stir up something intangible but exciting that, at the very least, enables better understanding of the people and cultures that shaped us.

Beginning in March 2019, our first tours will be devoted to women’s fashion in Mayfair, as we seek to introduce our clients to designers they may never have heard of and to tell them more about the designers they already know. We will both go off the beaten path and trod down many of the most well-known streets in Mayfair, dripping with famous names now and from decades past. We will conjure up the ghosts of designers like Charles James, Norman Hartnell, and Jean Muir; we will consider the turn-of-the-century brilliance of Lucile and other court dressmakers who decorated the debutantes, as well as the great tailoring house of Redfern, whose sporting suits gave women excitingly new freedom.
