On this heady tour, we enjoy a cultural and historical cocktail of old drinking holes, storytelling, atmospheric alleys and the company of merry makers.
With over 430 pubs to choose from in Westminster, you may wonder where to begin! Our tour will guide you to some of the oldest and the best, soaking in the historic atmosphere (and the ales) of Covent Garden on a drunken frolic through four centuries of alcoholic history.
Over ales, lagers and ciders your guide will enthral you with tales of duels, romance and adventure… all fuelled by liquor. Learn how London’s tastes in drink and entertainment evolved from the rollicking parties of the Restoration through the gin craze of the Georgians to the temperance movement of the Victorian era.
On this 2 and a half hour tour we will visit four famous pubs, stopping for a drink in each. At the end you are welcome to say and carouse through the evening and into the night, though we suggest you take heed of the wisdom of Winston Churchill who said “I have taken more from alcohol than alcohol has ever taken from me.”

Drinks are not included in the cost of the tour. The team recommend a half pint at each stop, though you are welcome to adapt this to your tastes and tolerance. An average pint in London costs £6-£8.
