Aboard either a kayak or paddleboard, adventure the beautiful canal routes of Leicestershire through Barrow-On-Soar, Quorn and Mountsorrel to a charming riverside pub. Your day will start at the meeting point of Proctors Park, where you will be kitted out with all the gear and have a thorough safety briefing from staff. Once you are ready to dive in and get started (maybe not literally!), you will begin your half day excursion on the scenic waters of Leicestershire’s rivers and canals. Break up your journey with a refreshing drink and a delicious bite to eat from local pub The Moorings, The Navigation Inn or The Waterside Inn. Finish the tour as you return back to Proctors Park.

About:
Grab your friends and head out for a paddle with a twist. Whizz or glide along the scenic canal spots through Barrow-On-Soar, Quorn, and Mountsorrel, stop off at one of the riverside pubs for a refreshing drink on ice and your weekly quota of fried halloumi, before taking a chilled meander back to base.
Starting Point: Proctors Park
From the starting point at Proctors park, you’ll have a few options on the day. The closest riverside pub is The moorings only 5-10 minutes from the start, the next is the navigation which is a short 20-25 minutes paddle and the final choice is the Waterside Inn which is 1 hour 30-minute paddle from Proctors park.
Once the trip is confirmed we will send over all the paddle timings to help you book the right pub for you and the style of experience you desire.
Finishing off:
After you have enjoyed food, catch-ups, and giggles on your adventure it’s time to then begin your journey back to Proctors Park.
Please note that bookings can only be made by persons 18 years old or over.
Each participant will have to fill out a consent form before attending.
Requirements: Although you don’t need to have kayaked you do need a moderate level of fitness. You will have to go under low bridges, some of which you need to lie down for (if high water). You will carry your kayak a short distance over weirs and locks.
On our unguided hire trips, there is no instructor present, participants should be able to paddle at a suitable level so that they can look after themselves. Should a participant not be able to paddle independently they may be asked to hand back the equipment with no refund. Please note we do offer instructor lead sessions if you require instruction.
Please note: consumption of alcohol is strongly discouraged while on our experiences.
For senior and student concession tickets, you must have valid ID to show upon arrival.
An adult must be on a trip if booking a child, max ratio 1:3.
Included: Kayak, buoyancy aid, paddle and helmet.
There is the option for both guided and self guided tours.

Make a booking for food & drink directly with the pub (food and drink not included in experience): We start at the beginning of three amazing pubs, so please only book at one of them.
All ticket sales are final and not refundable. Reservations cannot be changed, rescheduled or refunded once confirmed. Reservations may be re-scheduled by the operator of the activity due to reasons such as weather, minimum participation requirements, mechanical issues or other interruptions beyond their control.
All gift certificate sales are final and not refundable. Gift certificates can only be exchanged prior to redemption.
