Bushcraft Firelighting and Bush Bling Half day in The New Forest

New Forest Experience Gifts: Head into the woods for an exciting morning or afternoon session learning the basics of firelighting and bushcraft.

On this fun two and a half hour workshop, you’ll join an expert bushcraft guide in a secluded portion of the New Forest to develop your outdoors skills. Along with the rest of your small group, you’ll learn how to collect kindling and light a fire using only the historic flint and steel method. You’ll also boil water over the fire to make a hot drink. Once the fire is nicely blazing, it’ll be time to harness your knife skills as your guide shows the group how to craft wood to produce pot hangers, beads, tent pegs, mallets, or even spoons. 

This bushcraft firelighting and craft session is a brilliantly fun day out to share with family and children aged ten and up. It also makes an awesome experience gift for active friends, and an unusual holiday activity during your next New Forest trip.
