Experience Overview:
The Turin Chocolate Tasting ExperienceOur local guide will share Turin’s significance in shaping Italian identity. Known for its chocolate, the city thrived as royal families indulged in tastings. Begin at a historic café with the original Bicerin, a drink enjoyed since the 1800s.
Stroll through some of the landmarks and discover hidden gems. Then, in a cozy setting, start a lesson about chocolate, with insights given by the guide, by tasting exceptional dark chocolate made from just 10% of the world’s finest cocoa. Then, sample traditional chocolates like Gianduiotto and Cremino. The Gianduiotto, named after Gianduja, blends finely ground hazelnuts with chocolate—originating in 19th-century Turin when cocoa was scarce.
All products are 100% organic and “bean to bar.” Pair your chocolates with Barolo Chinato, an aromatized wine from the Barolo area that complements the chocolate flavors perfectly.
