What to expect:

Viale Giorgio Modugno, 16

The only cooking class in which a World Champion, Camilla Pizzorno, winner of the World Mortar Pesto Championship, reveals her recipe and makes you taste a Ligurian menu.
1. You will be welcomed in a typical Ligurian garden surrounded by greenery during the summer, or in a heated outdoor area in winter. We will begin by learning to recognize the quality and role of the ingredients of Genoese pesto.
2. With a 100-year-old Carrara marble mortar and an olive wood pestle, Camilla will guide you in the preparation of pesto. You will crush and mix the ingredients by hand, to create the right color and texture.

3. We will taste the freshly prepared pesto, served with the typical Genoese focaccia.

4. We will continue the experience by preparing the walnut sauce by mortar, an ancient and today rare recipe made by mortar DA.

5. You will taste the walnut sauce with a plate of pansoti, typical fresh local pasta.

6. The tour will end with a typical Genoese dessert, pandolce, accompanied DA wine, liqueurs and Italian grappa.

7. At the end of the experience you will receive the recipe of the Champion in PDF, all the photos and videos of the experience and a small gift for you.
