At the end of the guided tour of the colosseum, you will be accompanied to another significant attraction, the Roman Forum, initially a marshy area that later was transformed in a meeting place where political, religious and commercial buildings were built, nothing else but the center of the ancient Roman empire. You will explore the area on your own and without any extra cost because the entrance ticket is included in the initially price.

Palatine Hill

Another attraction to be explored on your own and without any extra cost, will be the Palatine Hill, the site upon which, Rome or Caput Mundi, was founded. You will admire hundred of ruins of impressive ancient buildings like Domitian Palace, The Iron Age Hut foundations, rests of temples like Magna Mater, Apollo, The House of Augustus and his wife Livia, The spectacular Farnese Gardens.
Remember that from the Palatine Hill you can have the best view of the Roman Forum, as well, and why not, the best pictures!
