Visit To The Former Concentration Camp Sachsenhausen By Train.The tour is a guided walk through the grounds of the memorial site of the former "model concentration camp of the Reich capital," Sachsenhausen, which was later also used as a "Soviet special camp."
Built in 1936 during the Olympic Games in Berlin, Sachsenhausen also served as a training facility for the camp SS. Additionally, it housed the central administrative office of the SS, the "Inspection of Concentration Camps."
An experienced guide conveys the history of the camp and highlights the special role Sachsenhausen played within the concentration camp system. The tour addresses both the fates of the victims and the biographies of the perpetrators. It offers a respectful and educational experience that makes the significance of the memorial site and the lessons of history tangible.

For the visit to the memorial site, we will travel together by public transport from Berlin to Oranienburg (approx. 50 minutes). From there, we will walk about 20 minutes to the memorial site. We will use the same route for the return journey. A day ticket costing €13.20 per person is required but is not included in the tour price.

- Roll Call Square: Site of the daily terror of camp life
- Barrack 38: Part of the "small camp," where over 6,000 Jewish prisoners were crammed together after the "Kristallnacht"

- Shoe Testing Track: Site where prisoners were exploited for material testing by German companies
- Station Z: Crematorium ovens, gas chamber, and execution site
- Infirmary Barracks: Exhibition "Medicine and Crime" on medical experiments and mistreatment
