Upon arrival, you can choose to hike, take the shuttle bus, or ride a horse-drawn carriage (additional cost) to the castle.
Take a short walk to Marienbrücke(Mary’s Bridge), where you’ll experience a stunning bird’s-eye view of the castle surrounded by dramatic landscapes, it must be absolute for photography enthusiasts.
After touring Neuschwanstein, visit the nearby Hohenschwangau Castle and enjoy a leisurely walk around the picturesque Alpsee for a perfect day in this enchanting region.

Located at the foot of the mountain, Hohenschwangau Castle was the childhood residence of King Ludwig II. The castle, with its beautiful yellow façade, offers a glimpse into the royal family’s life and the Bavarian monarchy’s history. Visitors can hike up to the castle for a brief yet fascinating tour of its rooms, which are filled with historical artifacts and stunning views of the surrounding area.
If there are elderly people or young children in the group, it is not recommended to go on the tour.
