Accompanied by a local historian and specialist of the region, guests will step into Ottawa's past as they are brought through time to learn about the region's First Nations, to the foundation of ByTown, and the building of the nation's capital.
During this tour, guests will be able to see and learn about the following landmarks:

-National Art Galery of Canada
-Notre Dame Cathedral Basilica
-Ottawa's Oldest House (Rochon House)
-ByWard Market
-Major Hill Park
-Rideau Canal
-Ottawa's Central Train Station / Senate
-Château Laurier
-Parliament Hill
-And other important landmarks.

During the tour, feel free to ask questions to your guide. As a researcher and local historian, they will have lots to share with guests during this tour.

Meeting Point

Guests will meet their guide outside the National Art Galery of Canada in front of the Maman Spider Statue. Your guide will be dressed in Aventure Outaouais clothing and will have an official lanyard with accreditations. We ask that guests arrive at least 5 minutes early to avoid missing the tour.
