At the canyon’s base, your certified guide will lead you through towering limestone walls, across suspended catwalks and past Johnston Creek’s turquoise waters now transformed into glittering ice. Your first stop is the Lower Falls, where winter turns rushing water into dramatic frozen sculptures.
From here, you’re free to continue on a self-guided hike to the Upper Falls. In winter, this 30-metre (90-foot) waterfall becomes a dazzling frozen curtain, a breathtaking sight and the perfect photo opportunity amid the serene hush of the canyon.
