Why We Love This Unique Experience

Exmouth Experience Gifts: Experience Western Australia’s most jaw-dropping natural wonders on this guided day tour of Cape Range National Park and Ningaloo Reef.

A spectacular place of rugged canyons, limestone ranges, and abundant wildlife, Cape Range National Park is an epic location for a bush-walk. After a scenic drive from Exmouth to Yardie Creek, strap on your walking boots and head into the wilderness with your guide. Marvel at the ancient landscape, with its red cliff faces and deep blue water. Keep your eyes peeled for black-flanked rock wallabies, and osprey nests as you scramble through the gorge, stopping for some epic selfies. After refreshing yourself with some morning tea, take the short drive to the aptly named Turquoise Bay. With azure waters, powder-soft sand, and access to Ningaloo, it’s pretty much paradise on Earth. Your guide will kit you out with snorkel equipment before you slip into the underwater world of the world’s biggest fringing reef. See thousands of colourful reef fish, corals, and maybe even a turtle or reef shark if you’re lucky. Your guide will be with you the whole way, pointing out amazing marine life as you go. It’s like swimming in a giant aquarium! After you’ve dried off, your guide will prepare a mouth-watering lunch at the Milyering Visitor Centre while you check out the graphic displays (including a megalodon tooth!) and pick up some souvenirs from the gift shop. Then head back to Exmouth Town, with a stop en-route at Vlamingh Head Lighthouse for phenomenal views across the reef, the National Park, and Exmouth Gulf and maybe a humpback whale sighting.

This guided tour of Cape Range National Park and Ningaloo Reef is the perfect addition to a Perth vacation, and would make a superb experience gift for a nature lover’s birthday.

Experience Overview:

Full Day Tour Of Cape Range National Park And Ningaloo Coast With Snorkelling

Join us for a fully guided day tour, exploring the highlights of Ningaloo Reef and Cape Range National Park - the best of reef and range, all in one day.

Your day begins with pick up from your Exmouth accommodation just before 7am. Your guide will greet you with the coffee or tea of your choice (hot chocolate or juice also available), to enjoy during the drive into Cape Range National Park and our first destination: Yardie Creek (approx. 1 hour 10 minutes). Along the way your guide will provide commentary on the natural and human history of the area, and you may be lucky enough to spot some of the local wildlife: emu, dingo, wallaroos or birds of prey. Upon arrival at Yardie Creek, your guide will brief you on the walk here, which is 2km return and will take 1-1.5 hours. There’s no need to rush here, as you navigate a couple of rocky scrambles with the help of your guide, spot black-flanked rock wallabies, osprey, and shore birds, and stop for photo ops.

Following some morning tea, we’ll then take the 20 minute drive up the coast to Turquoise Bay for a guided drift snorkel at one of Western Australia’s most famous beaches. Your guide will be with you every step of the way, and after fitting you out with snorkel gear, a snorkel and safety briefing, they’ll head into the water with you to point out beautiful corals and marine life. You can expect to see hundreds of colourful reef fish here, vibrant corals, and perhaps even a turtle or reef shark as you drift along with the current.

All of this adventurous activity means you will have worked up an appetite, so following our snorkel at Turquoise Bay we head up to the Milyering Visitor centre where your guide will prepare a fresh lunch while you take a look at the informative displays or the gift shop.

We then make our way back into Exmouth town, with a stop at the Vlamingh Head Lighthouse along the way, to take in the panoramic views of reef, range and Exmouth Gulf.

Your guide will farewell you at your accommodation around 3pm with a promise to have some photos of your adventure available soon for you to enjoy.
