First you will head upriver, passing sights such as the Botanical Gardens, Government House and the Rod Laver Arena. You'll then continue down river, entering the bustling city centre of Melbourne. From here you'll continue your journey along the waterway, taking in more fantastic sights from the comfort from your very own water bike!

Experience Overview:
Melbourne Water Bike Tour Of The Yarra RiverAfter a safety briefing and operational overview, participants will be fitted to their selected waterbike (either our Recumbent or Upright) and given lifejackets before heading upriver to explore the Botanical Gardens and views of Government House. Turning under the Swan Street Bridge, we will pass the iconic Rod Laver Arena Precinct, with MCG in the background before riding along Birrarung Marr.
The tour will continue downriver under the Princes Bridge and into the heart of Melbourne. The tour will continue along the Yarra River past Flinders Street Station on to SEA Life Aquarium, with the Rialto building towering in background and passing the pontoons of Microflite.
We will then turn at Webb Bridge, taking in Yarra's Edge Marine before passing the Polly Woodside Tallship and Melbourne Convention Exhibition Centre. Continuing upstream we then pass Crown Casino, the South Bank precinct with Eureka Tower soaring to the skyline above. Arts Centre Melbourne passes us before once again passing under Princes Bridge and finishing back at the Rowing Sheds along Boathouse Drive next to Princes Bridge; directly across the Yarra River from Federation Square.

What is a water bike?
Waterbike is a kind of bicycle to pedal on water. We offer two models of waterbikes; the Bikeboat Rec (Recumbent / Reclining) and Bikeboat Up.

Mandatory photo ID (driving licence or passport) is needed for all lead hirers.
Children need to be at least 120cm tall to ride the water bikes, otherwise they won’t be able to reach the pedals.
It is highly unlikely that you’d enter the water but participants must be able to tread water for 30 minutes to participate.
