Master advanced paddle strokes, learn how to carve up the bay or just feel safe with an instructor by your side while you learn to SUP. Stand Up Paddle HQ guarantees to have you up standing by the end of your lesson.

With all action sports, it is important that you learn the correct technique from day one and Stand Up Paddle Boarding is no different.

Our instructors will have you paddling effectively in a short space of time, and ensure you leave us with adequate knowledge to paddle on your own. Our Private Lessons are conducted in a safe and nurturing environment and in a format.

What's provided:

SUP Private Lesson; 90 minute session, including 60 minutes of instruction
SUP equipment provided: Stand Up Paddle board, leg rope, paddle, wetsuit (if required), lifejacket (if required) and rash vest.

We can organise private lessons for as early as 8am depending upon existing bookings - morning sessions are always recommended to take advantage of the favourable wind conditions.

Please note that stand up paddle boarding is a weather dependant sport. The relative smooth conditions at the water's edge is generally not a true indication of the conditions further out. The provider will endeavour to provide you with at least one hours notice if your session is cancelled due to poor weather/unsuitable winds. However, please note conditions can change rapidly on Port Phillip Bay so at times sessions are cancelled at very short notice. Whilst the team try and prevent this from occurring, sometimes they have no other option with the safety of customers being their primary consideration. If you are travelling further than one hour for your session, please make this known.

Reservation Changes, Cancellations & Refunds

Changes to reservations for tickets can be made until 2 days prior to the date scheduled. Reservations may be re-scheduled by the operator of the activity due to reasons such as weather, minimum participation requirements, mechanical issues or other interruptions beyond their control.

All gift certificate sales are final and not refundable. Gift certificates can only be exchanged prior to redemption.
