Just after dawn you'll meet the cameleers and help to get your camel saddled up and prepare to ride. Learn a bit about the behaviour of camels, how they communicate through body language and check out how different camel saddles are from the ones you might be used to. Riding a camel is such a unique experience and over the course of an hour you'll have such a lovely time getting close to this mesmerising animal. As you journey together in your group keep an eye out for native Australian wildlife from your vantage point atop a camel. Take the opportunity to enjoy refreshment in the cafe and even buy some camel dairy products to take home.

Harrisville Sunrise Camel Ride Near Brisbane
Riding camels against the picturesque backdrop of the beautiful Flinders Peak, on the northern edge of the Scenic Rim Region, is truly a signature South-East Queensland experience. Connect with Australian Camels and the Flora and Fauna surrounding the 850-acre farm. On this, over a one-hour long ride, you will see unique Australian animals like kangaroos, birds and if you’re lucky even koalas and other native wildlife. Some riders even reported that they have seen a platypus along our creek banks. Feel the magic and serenity as you settle into a peaceful ride aboard our gentle ‘camel caravan’, the same mode of transport used by early outback pioneers. While you are here, you can feed our friendly camels, shop around in our Skincare & Souvenir Shop, visit our Homestead cafe for a delicious breakfast and try our famous Camelcino. All our dairy products are also available for purchase straight from the farm, so bring an esky or a cooler bag.
Additional Experience Details & Important Information
The Sunrise Camel Ride is from 6:30 am to 8:30 am - times are estimates only and the ride takes approximately 60 minutes. Learn about camels and the art of handling them. Help to saddle and get the camels ready for your trek. Enjoy and connect with Australian camels and the flora and fauna surrounding the farm from the camelback. From 9 am, the café offers meal options (not included in the booking) as well as fresh camel milk products and other delicacies for purchase. Receive a 10% discount redeemable in the online skincare shop (discounted code will be provided with the booking confirmation).
Please note:
Two passengers ride each camel in double saddles and requires one adult and one child or two children from the same family.
15 riders total per booking time, with a maximum of 8 adults.

Changes to reservations for tickets can be made until 2 days prior to the date scheduled. Reservations may be re-scheduled by the operator of the activity due to reasons such as weather, minimum participation requirements, mechanical issues or other interruptions beyond their control.
All gift certificate sales are final and not refundable. Gift certificates can only be exchanged prior to redemption.
