Departing from Manly Wharf, step on board the luxury catamaran, boasting a large outdoor area including two outdoor tables with surround seating and a 360 degree uninterrupted viewing area - perfect for your whale and dolphin watching! Group sizes are kept to a maximum of twelve, so you are guaranteed a small and intimate experience. During your time on the catamaran, you will join the Humpback Whales on their cycle of life as they perform their annual migration, where they head north to the Coral Sea to give birth and mate in warmer waters. Learn all about this fascinating journey, and how the Inshore Northern Current helps them on their migration in the North direction. These animals are lively and high-spirited, so expect to see typical behaviour such as breaching, tail slapping, lunging and maybe even spy-glassing! Sydney Dolphin And Whale Watching Experience

Whale Watching in Sydney is an experience not to be missed! Experience these majestic mammals on their annual migration North from the comfort of our luxury catamaran Champagne Sailing.

Our whale watching tours depart every Saturday and Sunday from 4th June 2022 - 28 August 2022 from Manly Wharf 3 (in front of the Manly Wharf Hotel) or from Clontarf Marina at 9.15am by pre arrangement. Tour departures are subject to a minimum of 6 passengers.

Champagne Sailing is a stunning 38 foot catamaran. She has a large covered area which is completely encloseable, as well as a large outdoor area with 2 outdoor tables with surround seating and 360 degree uninterrupted viewing area. With passenger numbers capped at 12 you are guaranteed a small group, intimate experience with plenty of space to allow for social distancing.

Every year from May to August Humpback whales head North to the Coral Sea to give birth and mate in warmer waters. The Humpbacks use the Inshore Northern Current to help them on their migration North and this is usually found within 3 nautical miles of the Sydney coast. Jump on board Champagne Sailing and head out of the Harbour for an intimate encounter with these amazing mammals.

Typically the whales will surface and play, displaying typical behaviour such as breaching, tail slapping, lunging and if you're lucky spyglassing!

Book today for an approx. 3 hour tour, which includes water/soft drinks, a short cruise from Manly across the Harbour to Sydney Heads to see what we can find. Look out for dolphins playing around the boat , try and spot the local Fairy penguins and sit back and enjoy a relaxing cruise. Group numbers are capped at 12 which allows plenty of space to spread out and relax.

Please bring warm clothing, a camera and any snacks or drinks you would like (BYO alcohol is permitted.)

Soft drinks/ bottled water is included in the ticket price.

Lifejackets are available for all passengers.

Please note we closely monitor the weather and swell conditions leading up to the tour, and will reschedule the tour if the weather looks too rough or windy. However, there is generally some swell offshore so if you are prone to seasickness we recommend taking anti nausea medication prior to departure.

Cancellations & Refunds

Reservation Changes, Cancellations & Refunds

Changes to reservations for tickets can be made until 9 days prior to the date scheduled. Reservations may be re-scheduled by the operator of the activity due to reasons such as weather, minimum participation requirements, mechanical issues or other interruptions beyond their control.

All gift certificate sales are final and not refundable. Gift certificates can only be exchanged prior to redemption.
