Hmas Brisbane Double Dive
• Opt to dive into the wreck of the HMAS Brisbane, a decommissioned guided missile destroyer that was scuttled 2.9 nautical miles off the Sunshine Coast • Light snacks on board • HMAS Brisbane dive includes marine parks fees and Guides. Equipment hire is not included but available for hire. • Available 7 days a week

What to expect:
123 Parkyn Parade
On your arrival to Sunreef, we will check you in and see that your gear is organized, whether you prefer one of our staff to set up for you, or you would like to do it for yourself. We'll then depart out to the Ex-HMAS Brisbane. Each diver will be given a thorough briefing about the dive as the boat traverses the calm waters of the Mooloolah River. Once the boat is at the wreck and moored, the crew will help get divers into the water. The dive will last for 50 minutes, or as soon as a diver or their buddy reaches 50 bar, whichever comes first. The divers then return to the shop, where gear is washed for you.

Public transportation options are available nearby Not recommended for pregnant travelers Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness Minimum Diving Certification of PADI Open Water Diver or equivalent is required. Please note if you have not dived in the last 2 years you will be required to complete a Scuba Review before you can participate in any diving activities. This is also in Open Water and we suggest that you look into Seasickness medication to minimize the chance of it effecting your trip. Please note if you are suffering from an injury, lness or taking prescrition medication, QLD Regulations require that you to have a GP clearance to dive.

Reservations may be re-scheduled by the operator of the activity due to reasons such as weather, minimum participation requirements, mechanical issues or other interruptions beyond their control.

My parter and I just did a double dive on the Brissy, all the shop staff and crew were awesome getting us checked in sorted and on the boat super smooth and easy.
Only a short trip out to the wreck as you brief and gear up. All very well organized and made to feel well looked after during the whole trip.
The dive itself was amazing, lots of marine life from reef fish to palagics and a lazy turtle munching away.
Special thanks to our guide Johnny and our skipper they did a great job.

Smooth Operator
I've worked up in Cairns as a Dive Instructor for a couple of years, so trust me when I say these guys have a smooth operation going! The vessels are modern and clean, equipment is well kept and good quality and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly.
Thanks Johnny for taking us on some sick dives and shouts to 'T' who was very friendly and created a great atmosphere on board.
Will be back!

Poor customer service/communication
I called Sunreef Mooloolaba on Thursday 3rd Dec 2020 & asked if there were any trips going on Friday 4th Dec. They said no. So we spent 4 hours Friday morning trying to find a way to get to Mudjimba Is to do snorkelling. There were no other options, so I called Sunreef again this morning (day after we'd asked if there were any trips to Mudjimba Is) & Matt told me a trip had left earlier this morning & there'd be no more trips until next Thurs. How disappointed I was. Why did they say just yesterday that there were no trips on Fri? I leave the Sunshine Coast early tomorrow & this was my (& my father's) last opportunity to snorkel this spot. Very disappointed in Sunreef Mooloolaba; very poor customer service.
